The City of Mandurah would like to present an upcoming workshop entitled:

Climate Change and the Coast: Think Global Act Local!

The Climate Change and the Coast Workshop will be held on Monday 20th August 2007  

This important event will help to focus the current state of knowledge on global and local climate change, extreme events and sea-level rise factors driving future coastal evolution. It will facilitate the exchange of important ideas and identification of stakeholder needs to assist in setting future priorities for the region.

To be held at the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre

Speakers and Program

Dr John Church (CSIRO), Dr Ian Eliot (WAMSI) and Mayor Paddi Creevey (City of Mandurah) have been secured as keynote speakers.  In addition, presentations will be delivered from representatives of government departments and the development and insurance industries.

After the Workshop there will be a free Public Forum from 6 - 7:30 PM. moderated by Bernadette Young. Everyone is welcome to come - there is no need to register.
