Coastal Ocean Program
Description:
NOAA's Coastal Ocean Program (COP) provides scientific information
to assist decision makers in meeting the challenges of managing
the United State's coastal resources. COP targets critical issues
which exist in the Nation's estuaries, coastal waters, and Great
Lakes. COP translates its findings into accessible information for
coastal managers, planners, lawmakers, and the public. Its aim is
to create near-term and continuous improvements in environmental
decisions affecting the coastal ocean and its resources.

Shoreland Management Resource Guide
Fantastic joint initiative of the University of Minnesota Sea
Grant Program and the University's Water Resources Center funded
by the Minnesota State Legislature through the Board of Water
and Soil Resources. The Management Guide is directed toward shoreland
stewards who care about lakes and rivers, including property owners,
resource managers, educators, and volunteers. The Shoreland Guide
provides access to useful publications that are out of print or
difficult to find, as well as new materials. Documents are formatted
for easy on-screen viewing and most can be downloaded as high-quality
print copies (PDF files). Leaders and resource managers will find
in-depth technical information, and property owners will find
detailed guidance for managing their shoreland. |
