Todd Bond

Consultant, BSc


Todd's passion for the coast and its underwater environment shines through in his work and has led to him gaining substantial knowledge and skills in a relatively short time. As well as his comprehensive understanding of the geomorphology of Perth's beaches through his undergraduate studies, Todd now has considerable skills in climate change vulnerability and sensitivity assessment, research and analysis, and conducting risk assessment workshops.

At a glance

  • Todd graduated with a Bachelor of Science, Marine Biology and Marine and Coastal Management (University of Western Australia). Through his undergraduate studies Todd completed various projects on the geomorphology of Perth beaches. Studies involved beach width around groynes; behavioural ecology of Perth's dominant herbivorous fish species; and differences in fish assemblages within habitats around Rottnest Island.
  • Project experience includes Climate Change Impact Assessment for City of Mandurah, Cook Islands Technology Needs Assessment & development of Climate Change Risk Assessment and Adaptations Action Plan for Shire of Murchison.
  • Core skills include climate change vulnerability and sensitivity assessments; developing climate change adaptation measures and developing and conducting climate change risk assessment workshops.
  • Takes lead role in stakeholder consultation, field analysis, GIS mapping, rectifying and interpreting maps, research and report writing and document reviews.
  • Strong research and analysis skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a passion for the coast and its underwater environment.

Little known fact

Todd worked for the Aquarium of Western Australia for four years and the Department of Conservation for one year as education officer developing and delivering education programs and activities in marine biology Todd volunteered for a further two years at the Aquarium of Western Australia as a diver, feeding sharks and stingrays in their walk-through tunnel aquarium.
