  • 22 years in climate change impact assessment, coastal zone management and planning. Founded CZM in 2004 to provide specialist technical and management consultancy services to enhance the sustainable development of coastal zones in Australia and beyond.
  • Industry leader in climate change vulnerability and adaptation assessment, geomorphology and coastal planning and management. Key note speaker at conferences on climate change throughout the world.
  • Experience includes consultancy roles for government, academic and private sector. Projects range from local-scale strategy development with municipal governments to global analysis for agencies of the United Nations and Multilateral Development Banks.
  • Author of over 100 published papers, articles, reports and features on coastal vulnerability and adaptation. His book, Coastal Planning and Management was co-authored with Jackie Alder, second edition published 2005.
  • Has been involved as an expert reviewer for IPCC since its inception.
  • Principal of sister company, ContentPlus, providers of digital and online content, education and communications services.

Little known fact

Rob coordinated the first ever coastal impact assessment of UK coastline in the 1980's.
