Description icoast_internet is the first newsgroup on the role of the Internet in coastal management. Started in April 2000 by the team at www.coastalmanagement.com the icoast_interent newsgoup fosters exchanges of experience, knowledge and ideas of technological, cultural and philosophical issues on the use and role of the Internet in coastal management. The newsgoup's scope is global. Discussion on purely technical issues, such as the intracacies of computer hardware and software are not encouraged.

Description icoast_global is a newsgroup on the management of coastal resources worldwide. Its aim is to enable the sharing of knowledge and experience in coastal management around the global coastline. Discussion on the integrated management of coastal zones is encouraged. The discussion of sector-specific coastal management issues, such as fisheries or coastal engineering is not encouraged.
